In Adhyay 6 of the Bhagavad Gita DVD set, Deep Trivedi explains Dhyana-Yoga in detail and sheds light on the example that Krishna gave to Arjuna while explaining him about Dhyana- Concentration. He explains how concentration—a stable mind—can help one achieve great heights in life.
Just like a lamp remains unmoving in spite of the wind that surrounds it, a man must keep his mind stable irrespective of the circumstances that surround him.
Deep Trivedi, further says, “As long as man lives, he gets attached to people, feelings, emotions, thoughts, ideas, lifestyle and materialistic things. And as long as man lives, he will be in constant involvement with the things that he encounters on a day-to-day basis, until death and there isn’t another alternative to this. There is nothing wrong with this attachment as long as it is done with the right balance.”
